Choir Rehearsal – Friday, May 8 | 6:30 PM

Our next rehearsal will be Friday, May 8 at 6:30 PM. We are rehearsing for our presentation in Greensboro and other engagements.  Come out and join us.

Please be on time and feel free to invite friends to come and sing with you.​​​​

GMWA Detroit Chapter Consecration Service:  We are having a Consecration Service on Sunday, May 17, 2026 @ 5pm.  The service will be at Greater Emmanuel Temple of Deliverance, 620 Seward (at Second), Detroit, MI.  All Choir members are asked to wear white.

 

GMWA National Convention – Greensboro, North Carolina

This year the Detroit Chapter will be traveling to the National Convention by air. There will be no bus transportation.   We will sing Tuesday, July 28 at the nightly musical and we will be in full concert Wednesday, July 29 along with GMAC.

Travel Dates:
Monday, July 27 – Departure to Greensboro, NC
Thursday, July 30 – Return to Detroit

We have secured the plane, and now you must secure your ticket.

$150 for airfare was due by March 31.

Airline prices are rising quickly because of fuel costs, so please secure your ticket today to avoid higher fares.

The Detroit Chapter will sing in the Tuesday night service and will present a full concert on Wednesday.

We always have a wonderful time at the convention, so make plans now to attend.

Annual Concert with GMAC – Chicago, IL

This year the Detroit Chapter will be traveling to Chicago for our annual concert with The Gospel Music According to Chicago.  The date for the concert is Friday, September 4.  Plan now to attend this anointed musical.  There will be a bus.  More information to come.
